Here, we apply all the same principles and practices to a slightly different end. Fruit trees are often pruned to maximize fruit quality and reduce the chance of branch failure under fruit load.

 

The picture to the right shows what a fruit tree can look like under our organic care. It also profoundly illustrates the three most important reasons why we get in the truck to go to work in the morning; family, community and trees. The Waite family, my sister, Dr. Kate Lynch, and her children harvested about five bushels of high quality organic apples and donated them to The Preble Street Teen Center.
